After claiming first and second place in the Le Mans Series 6 Hours of Imola in July, the REBELLION Racing team is aiming for another strong result at the 6 Hours of Silverstone on return from the series’ summer break.
Andrea Belicchi and Jean-Christophe Boullion won the Le Mans Series 6 Hours of Imola. A brilliant 1-2 for REBELLION Racing as the #12 Lola-Toyota drivers Neel Jani and Nicolas Prost achieved a strong second place after a six hour battle with the #13 sister car. This result places REBELLION Racing joint first in the Le Mans Series Teams’ Championship with 28 points and only two rounds remaining.
After a very strong race, the two cars of Rebellion Racing, Lolas-Toyota #12 & #13 finished in 7th and 9th place in the 1000 km of Spa-Francorchamps. The « virtual first » petrol car position was missed because of damaged bodywork issues that forced both cars to lose precious time in the pits. Nevertheless, Rebellion Racing scored valuable points for both ILMC and LMS championships.
