Neel Jani achieved the fifth fastest time in the qualifying session for the 6 Hours of Silverstone and in so doing placed the B12/60 Lola-Rebellion # 12 as the second of the petrol prototypes and FIA WEC LMP1 privateer entrant with a lap time of 1'46''160.
The Lola-Toyota #12 driven by Nick Heidfeld, Neel Jani and Nicolas Prot and #13 sister car driven by Andrea Belicchi, Harold Primat and Jeroen Bleekemolen were never out the top 8 (including the six Audi and Toyota factory cars) during the first four hours of the race.
In under a week’s time, REBELLION Racing will be putting the team’s two Lola-Toyota B12/60 Coupé LMP1 prototypes through the toughest endurance race in the 80th edition of the Le Mans 24 Hours on 16-17 June.
