Matech Competition puts chance to one side with a major reshuffle of drivers for car n°5 and n°6 Currently third in the team standings and second in the driver standings in the FIA GT1 World Championship, Matech Competition puts chance to one side with a major reshuffle of drivers for the rest of the season, for the Matech Ford GT1 n°5 and n°6 cars This new driver line-up will take up the challenge from the next FIA GT1 round at Spa-Francorchamps, on July Friday 30th and Saturday 31st and there on for the remainder of the season Team Manager, Martin Bartek, and the entire Matech team are delighted to welcome Neel Jani and Richard Westbrook, who will drive with Romain Grosjean and Thomas Mutsch The new team-mate of Romain Grosjean is Neel Jani. A young Swiss driver, he contested in Formula Renault and GP2 before becoming the 3rd driver of Scuderia Torro Rosso in Formula 1 in 2006. After 3 podiums in the Champ Car World Series and having the title of World Champion of A1 GP in 2007-2008, he discovered endurance racing in 2010, competing in both the Le Mans Series and in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in LMP1 category.
