Neel Jani Joins Proton Competition for FIA WEC Hypercar Debut

Proton Competition has announced the addition of former FIA WEC World Champion and Le Mans winner Neel Jani as third driver for the upcoming 6 Hours of Monza and the remainder of the FIA WEC season, marking its WEC debut in the Hypercar class.

Neel Jani said about the announcement, “I am very excited to join Proton Competition on their new journey in prototypes and want to thank the team for their trust. I have know Gimmi and Harry for a long time and am looking forward to teaming up with them for this challenge.”

Round five of the FIA WEC will witness a total of 13 hypercars on the grid, including Proton Competition’s very own Porsche 963 representing Proton Competition.

Joining the team alongside the talented GT Drivers Ginamaria Bruni and Harry Ticknall, Neel Jani brings experience and skill to the lineup.
